Volunteer

Volunteers are valued partners in the education of Sunnycrest Elementary students. We encourage family and community members, as well as local businesses, to consider volunteering. Not able to volunteer during school hours? We have several volunteer opportunities that can be completed at home. Volunteering is an excellent way to demonstrate to our students the value our community places in their education and their school.

Policy 5500: Sexual Harassment of Students 

 

Applicants must present a valid state-issued driver's license, state-issued ID card or a military identification card. Expired identification cards cannot be accepted.

Volunteer Opportunities

5th Grade Committee- This committee is responsible for coordinating camp and end of the year celebration for the fifth grade class. Volunteers are needed for activities held throughout the year to raise funds for these vital activities.

 

Art Docent - Volunteers provide art enrichment within the classroom. Our goal is to have one volunteer for each class. No experience is necessary. Materials and some training are provided. This is a great way to encourage appreciation for art and imagination!

 

Book Fair - Helping set up, manage, or take down the book fair during conference weeks in October and February.

 

Family Fun Nights 

 - Fall Festival and Carnival: Helping with set up, take down, and/or concessions.

 - Bingo Night: Helping with set up, take down, and/or concessions.

 - Movie Night: Helping with set up, take down, and/or concessions at our Movie Night.

Hearing and Vision Testing - Helping Nurse Jessica evaluate the hearing and/or vision of all the students.

                                                                                                         

Picture Day - Help the photographers stay on schedule by escorting classes to get their pictures taken and keeping the kids organized while waiting for their tur. 

 

Spirit Wear - This committee is responsible for the sale of Sunnycrest Spirit Wear. Go Eagles!

 

Screamin' Eagles Field Day - Our end of the school year extravaganza! Fun games, bouncy houses, and treats cap off a year of hard work by all our students. Come join in the fun by volunteering for this awesome event!

 

Yearbook - This committee is responsible for taking pictures, designing the yearbook layout, taking orders, and distribution.
