3. After you have submitted your form, you will be directed on how to pay for your membership via PayPal or credit card.
4. You will be emailed your PTA membership card as soon as they are processed by the State PTA.

The #1 reason to join the PTA is to support your child and your child’s school community. Sunnycrest PTA supports our families from ‘Welcome’ at the Kindergarten Orientation to ‘Farewell’ at the Fifth Grade Celebration and all the Field Trips, Book Fairs, Family Fun Nights, Grandparents/VIP Day, and Screamin' Eagle Carnival. Joining PTA is a significant contribution to our school community.
Parents, relatives, teachers and neighbors are all welcome and encouraged to join Sunnycrest Elementary PTA.
We are a guilt-free membership (You do not have to attend meetings and no volunteer hours are required).
Businesses are welcome to join PTA as a Business Partner. When you join the Sunnycrest PTA as a business member with annual membership dues of $25, you help our local PTA, Washington State PTA and National PTA. PTA Membership provides businesses with visibility and recognition while increasing cooperation among schools, businesses and the community. When customers see your PTA member logo, they know your business cares about our children’s education and well-being. Your business will be displayed on the PTA bulletin board randomly throughout the school year, mentioned on our facebook page, and webpage.
There are four major misconceptions about PTA membership. These falsehoods often prevent parents from joining an association that helps our children.
Myth #1: “Only moms and teachers need to join PTA.”
A strong, vibrant PTA needs the support of moms and dads, step-parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers and school staff, community members, and business leaders. Anyone who cares about children belongs in PTA. It is important that we all have a voice in the decision-making process relating to the laws and regulations – whether in the schools or government – that affect children.
Myth #2: “Joining PTA means I have to volunteer.”
You do not have to volunteer to be a member of PTA! PTA appreciates everyone’s membership, whether or not a member volunteers, because each member increases PTA’s ability to advocate for children.
Myth #3: “PTA membership never expires – I only have to join once.”
Each new school year begins a new PTA membership year. Membership cards are issued to each member who joins PTA as soon as dues are paid. Membership cards are for an annual membership and will remain valid until the end of the school year.
Myth #4: “I don’t have the time to join PTA.”
We understand your time is valuable. However, it’s your interest in children that counts. If you are not able to support the PTA with time, please become a member and give your financial support so that the children know that you support our efforts. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that your support helps as we develop programs and activities that benefit not only your children, but all children.
